Over more than half a century of creative activity, Slava has assembled a unique collection of 13,000 books, photographs, and videos devoted to the art of clowning, the performing arts, the history of humanity’s astonishing and joyful inventions, and popular festive traditions from around the world. The collection continues to grow.
Slava has entrusted this collection to the Fund so that it may be made accessible to students, researchers, and all those interested in art and culture. Positioned at the crossroads of literature, science, the visual arts, and the performing arts, it offers vast possibilities for research and exchange. The Fund plans to establish a dedicated media library capable of welcoming French and international specialists from a wide range of fields: illustrators, poets, writers, translators, documentary filmmakers, archivists, theatre historians, theatre and performance artists, landscape architects, and designers.
The Fund’s library also plans to host literary gatherings, film screenings, and other events inspired by the themes of the collection.
